New Mexico GEOLOGY

This series of copper etchings on Chine colle maps continue a conversation about human-wrought changes in the ecosystem. New Mexico is home to over 180 species of rare and endangered plants, some of which are unique to the state.
I have focused on four NM plants which are endangered because of habitat loss due to encroaching development and and overgrazing.  All map sections are from a US Department of the Interior 1965 Geological Map of New Mexico.
